Hub App raises pre-seed investment
Saudi Arabia-based angel investors have invested in Switzerland-headquartered startup The Hub App’s “six-figure” pre-seed round.
Founded in 2019 by Saleh M Alothaim and Alessandro Pecorelli, The Hub App is an event and RSVP management tool. It supports Arabic, English, German, Ukrainian, and Russian as well as other languages and uses Google Maps for location sharing.
“We saw the need to improve invitations management and invitees’ response to such invitations. This is where The Hub App was born to simplify this hectic and time-consuming process” said Saleh M Alothaim. “The Hub App will be the preferred method for people to use instead of the existing traditional way using different social platforms and tracking people to get their response and sharing events details, including any updates to these events. With The Hub App, that’s only a click of a button.”
The company will use the funds to invest in its marketing channels to expand to other markets, and enhance the app’s features.
The Hub App was officially launched in July 2020 with a focus on the GCC region and the US, and aims to be a global platform. It has ranked in the top 100 apps in 87 markets in the Google Play events category.
